It doesn't matter what industry you are in, there is someone out there doubling their business this year doing what you do. It is time to stop blaming the economy (or whatever your excuse of choice is) and start changing your approach. Doing the same things that you have been doing for the past year or two is not going to get you a different result...if it didn't work then, it's not going to work now. Time to look at things differently.
